How to Play Apexdle

Apexdle is a free daily guessing game for Apex Legends fans, inspired by Wordle and Loldle. Every day brings a fresh puzzle across six different modes. Here is a complete guide to how each mode works, what the colours mean, and how to keep your streak alive.

The Colour System

Most Apexdle modes use the same colour feedback after every guess:

• Green — this attribute is an exact match with the hidden answer.
• Yellow — a partial or close match (for example, the right class group, or a release season within a few seasons).
• Red — this attribute does not match at all.
• Arrows (↑ / ↓) — on numeric attributes like Age, Season, Body Damage and Mag Size, an arrow shows whether the target value is higher or lower than your guess.

Legend Mode (Daily)

The flagship mode. Guess the mystery Apex Legend in 8 attempts. After each guess you compare five attributes — Gender, Class, Home World, Release Season and Age. Hints (a voice line, abilities and a portrait) unlock automatically at guess milestones. A new Legend is chosen every day at midnight UTC. Weapon Mode (Daily)

Identify the day’s mystery weapon in 6 attempts. Clues cover Weapon Type, Ammo Type, Body Damage, Magazine Size, Release Season and Manufacturer. Our weapons guide lists every gun’s exact stats so you can reverse-engineer the answer.

Emoji Mode

Three emojis represent a hidden Legend. Decode the clue and name the Legend correctly. Each Legend’s emoji combination is listed on their individual guide page.

Word Mode (Wordle)

Classic Wordle gameplay with an Apex Legends twist — guess the five-letter, Apex-themed word in six tries. Green tiles mark correct letters in the right spot, yellow marks correct letters in the wrong spot, and grey rules a letter out.

Geo Mode

A geography-style challenge based on Apex Legends maps and points of interest. Test your knowledge of drop spots and landmarks across the Outlands.

Practice (Infinite) Mode

Want more than one puzzle a day? Practice mode lets you play unlimited rounds of Legend and Weapon guessing without waiting for the daily reset — perfect for learning the roster.

Streaks & Stats

Your daily streak, win count and guess distribution are saved locally in your browser — no account needed. Come back every day to grow your streak, and use the share button after a daily puzzle to post a spoiler-free emoji grid of your result.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do the puzzles reset?

The daily Legend and Weapon puzzles reset at midnight UTC. A new answer is selected every 24 hours.

Do I need an account?

No. Apexdle is completely free and requires no sign-up. Your progress is stored in your browser’s local storage.

Can I play past puzzles?

Use Practice mode for unlimited rounds. The daily puzzles are the same for every player on a given day so you can compare scores with friends.
